Questioning the American ideas of what a 'Dream Home' is, what it looks like, and how it functions. Perhaps being successful is not synonymous with owning a large, single family, suburban home with a 5 car garage and an excess and redundancy of spaces and programs. 'Farmplex' proposes a new model for the 'Dream Home' in the form of a multi-generational duplex designed for a farming family. A duplex that goes beyond the traditional 'party wall,' creating separate yet integrated varying units not only at the architectural scale but at the systematic scale as well. This DUPLEX IS A DREAM HOME.
